Media Portrayal of Ethnic Roles

Introduction- Many ethnic groups are unfairly represented by the media. The stereotypes that the media create carry over to the public because when the media talks, people listen. There are many stereotypes in the media, such as all African-Americans are fast or all Arabs are terrorists. Asians are portrayed as masters of all martial arts, Muslims are seen as extremely religious people or terrorists, Jews are seen as controlling the media. These are just four of the countless numbers of stereotypes and wrong portrayals from the media.
Sadly, the American media will most likely never stop using stereotypes and negative portrayals as a form of entertainment. But with a little luck, we can cut it down a lot more in the future than we have in the past.
